The Integrated Design in Engineering and Architecture building was designed for the Dalhousie Sexton Campus in Halifax, Nova Scotia for the winter term 2012. As part of this project’s vision, the building was to help connect the somewhat disjointed departments on campus, and provide a space for students to mix and mingle and be exposed to each other’s disciplines. To accomplish this, the program spaces where defined in cubes that created series of courtyards, the circulation routes became social spaces that weaved between the programmatic cubes.
